My Hero Academia Season 7 has revealed a Dabi vs Shoto Todoroki key visual ahead of the brothers’ clash next week. The anime previously announced a special real-time screening event with their voice actors, Hiro Shimono and Yuki Kaji for the same day as the episode 8 will be released, June 22.
During the event, episode 7, which premieres today, will be screened as well. Between the two screenings, Yuki Kaji and Hiro Shimono will host a talk stage, providing commentary before and after the broadcast.
My Hero Academia anime is based on the manga series by Kohei Horikoshi, which has been serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump since 2014. The manga received its first anime adaptation by studio BONES in 2016. It received 6 more seasons in the following years, with the 7th season currently ongoing.
The franchise also has 3 movies released so far: Two Heroes (2018), Heroes: Rising (2019) and World Heroes’ Mission (2021). Crunchyroll is streaming the series, and they describe the story:
Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.
