Gensho Yasuda’s 3DCG movie Make a Girl has revealed a new visual and trailer, introducing new cast members and announcing a January 31 release date in Japan. Yasuda Gensho Studio by Xenotoon is animating, with the movie based on Yasuda’s Make a Girl 3D short from 2020.
The previously announced main cast includes Shun Horie as Akira Mizutame and Atsumi Tanezaki as No. 0. New additions include Kana Hanazawa, Yoji Ueda, and Minami Hinata.
Gensho Yasuda is the original creator, and he will also serve as the director, storyboard artist, scriptwriter, and CG director for the new Make a Girl anime movie. Kenichiro Suehiro will compose the music, with Yuuichi Imaizumi as the sound director and Rei Ueno in charge of the sound effects.
The Make a Girl anime movie will follow the story of Akira Mizutame as he decides to ‘elevate his life’ by creating a “girlfriend” at the suggestion of his friend. Akira scientifically creates an artificial girlfriend he calls No. 0, who later goes on to question her existence. It will be Gensho Yasuda’s first feature-length animated movie.
