Japanese singer and songwriter Seiko Oomori and Pierre Nakano, best known as the drummer of Ling tosite sigure, announced their divorce in a statement posted on Nakano’s Twitter/X.
We have decided to put an end to our marriage and go our separate ways with mutual respect for each other’s futures. We have walked this path together and shared many joys and experiences, but we realized we have different visions for our future and chose to go our separate ways.
There is one thing that remains constant and important [both of] us: our child. His healthy growth is our number one priority and we promise to continue supporting him together.
We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to all the fans who have supported us so far and to all the people involved. We hope that you will continue [to do so]. In these new days, we will face music, family, and the future more seriously than ever before.
Oomori announced her marriage in 2014 but didn’t reveal the identity of her husband until 2020. They have one son together. She was born in 1987 and has been active since 2008 as idol, producer, singer, and songwriter. She is the former lead singer, guitarist, and keyboardist for the band Oomori Seiko & THE Pink Tokarev, and the producer and current member of ZOC (also known as METAMUSE).
Nakano, born in 1980, joined Ling tosite sigure in 2004 and is also a part of the Chaotic Vibes Orchestra, composed of drummers. His vocals are present in some of the Ling tosite sigure’s tracks, such as “High Energy Vacuum.” The band is known for theme songs for franchises such as PSYCHO PASS.
