Demon Lord 2099 anime has announced an October 12, 2024 premiere date. Studio J.C. Staff is animating, and the anime will have a panel at this weekend’s Aniplex Online Fest event. Ryo Ando is serving as the director, while the main cast consists of Satoshi Hino as the Demon Lord Veltol and Miku Ito as Machina.
The character designer is Ryousuke Tanigawa, with Yuichiro Momose in charge of the script. The rest of the voice cast includes Daisuke Namikawa as Gram, Shizuka Ito as Kinohara, Masaya Matsukaze as Marcus, and Hana Hishikawa as Takahashi. The anime received its first and only teaser trailer at this year’s Anime Expo in March.
Demon Lord 2099 is a light novel series written by Daigo Murasaki and illustrated by Kureta. It has been ongoing since January 2021, and it also has 2 manga adaptations. Yen Press is publishing the light novel series in English.
The story follows the legendary Demon Lord Velton after reincarnating 500 years later. He realizes the world has drastically changed, and so have his former allies. Now he has to try conquering the modern world with some new methods, and he will not hesitate to do what it takes to return to his former glory.
