Kinokoinu: Mushroom Pup (Kinoko Inu) anime revealed a new trailer, along with an October 3 premiere date. Studio C-Station (Laid-Back Camp) is animating, with Kagetoshi Asano as the director. The new trailer features the opening theme song “Kinokoinu” by HY.
Besides Kagetoshi Asano, the main anime staff consists of Jin Tanaka in charge of the series composition, Daisuke Endo as the character designer, and Akiyuki Tateyama handling the music. The voice cast for the show includes:
- Yuto Uemura as Hotaru
- Daiki Kobayashi as Kinoko Inu
- Sayaka Senbongi as Tsubaki Uehara
- Hinano as Anzu Uehara
- Misaki Kuno as Plum
- Takuma Terashima as Itsuki Yara
- Anna Nagase as Komako Amano
Kimama Aoboshi writes and draws the Kinokoinu: Mushroom Pup manga. It was serialized in Tokuma Shoten’s Monthly Comic Ryu magazine from July 2010 to February 2022, getting compiled into 15 volumes. Digital Manga Publishing licensed the manga in English. They describe the story:
