Acro Trip anime has revealed a new trailer featuring the opening and ending theme songs ahead of the show’s October 2 premiere. Studio Voil is animating the series.
The opening theme song is “Flavgum” by Inori Minase (voice of Berry Blossom in the anime), while Kanoerana performs the ending song “Reversible Baby.” You can hear both in the new trailer.
Ayumu Kotake is directing the series, with Shinichi Inotsume in charge of the script. Toshie Kawamura is the character designer, and Ryo Tanaka is the sound director. The main voice cast consists of:
- Miku Ito as Date Chizuko
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Chrome
- Inori Minase as Berry Blossom/Kaju Noichigo
- Kengo Kawanishi as Mashiro
Acro Trip manga was written and illustrated by Yone Sawata. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Ribon shojo magazine from February 2017 to December 2022 and compiled into five volumes. The series was also recommended by Aka Akasaka, the creator Kaguya-sama: Love is War and author OSHI NO KO.
Acro Trip follows the story of Date Chizuko, a girl obsessed with the magical girl Berry Blossom, who protects her city. She witnesses a battle between Berry and the evil organization Fossa Magna, but there’s not much to behold as the organization’s leader, Chrome, is not actually that strong. “I want magical girls to shine even brighter… Be stronger and face hardships!” This desire ends up leading Chizuko down the path of evil.
