Following the devastating news of the passing of Sayuri earlier today, we go through all of the anime songs from the 28-year-old artist’s career, which was filled with beautiful songs despite her young age.
She had her first solo live in March 2015 in Tokyo, while she released her first single “Mikazuki” in August of the same year. She was 18 at the time of her major debut. The song was used as the ending theme for the Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplace anime.
She also performed the single on THE FIRST TAKE.
She released her second single in February 2016, and the song is titled “Sore wa Chiisana Hikari no Youna” (“It’s like a small light”) Yuki Kajiura composed and wrote the lyrics, and the song was used as the ending theme for the Erased TV anime.
Sayuri’s fifth single was “Heikousen” (“Parallel Line”), released in March 2017. The song was used as the ending theme song for the Scum’s Wish anime adaptation.
Her sixth single “Tsuki to Hanataba” (“Moon and Bouquet”) was released in February 2018, and the song was used as the ending theme for the Fate/Extra Last Encore anime.
She collaborated with MY FIRST STORY on the song “Reimei” (“Dawn”), which was released in November 2018 and used as the second opening theme of the Golden Kamuy anime.
She performed the ending theme song for My Hero Academia Season 4, and the song’s title is “Koukai no Uta” (“The Song of the Voyage”).

Her song “Aoibashi” was released in May 2020 and used as the second ending theme song for the anime Sing “Yesterday” for Me. It was featured in 3 episodes (7-19) for the anime, although there are no official uploads of the song. You can check it out on Crunchyroll.
“Sekai no Himitsu” (“World Secret”) was released in 2020 and used as the second ending theme song of the EDENS ZERO anime.
Her last anime song was “Hana no Tou” (“Tower of Flower”), which was released in July 2022 and used as the ending theme song for the Lycoris Recoil anime.
Most of us have many of Sayuri and her anime songs as regulars on our playlists and will remember her voice forever. This is just a quick look at her contribution to anime songs, which you can also check out on most of the streaming platforms.
