The series first began on the Shosetsuka ni Naro in April 2020, while Hobby Japan acquired it and began publishing a print version in May 2021. There is also a manga adaptation by Takafumi Omae that began in May 2021 with Kodansha as the publisher. J-Novel Club is publishing the light novel in English, while Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga.

While the title does a fairly good job of providing a synopsis, some additional information is that the main character’s name is Light. He has a magical skill called Unlimited Gacha which had provided only useless items up until he got betrayed. He ends up in the Abyss, where he’s about to lose his life when his skill summons Mei, a beautiful Level 9999 maid. We then get a 3-year timeskip, in which Light became a Level 9999 Overlord who has summoned more Level 9999 warriors and is now planning revenge on the people who betrayed him.
