Maebashi Witches original anime revealed the second teaser visual and trailer ahead of its April 2025 release date. The anime was announced in September and is set in Maebashi, Japan. It follow the coming-of-age story of five high school girls aiming to become witches, with Bandai Namco Filmworks (formerly known as SUNRISE) handling the animation.
Tomokazu Sugita voices Keroppe, a mysterious frog-like creature that scouts the five girls to become witches. The main voice cast consists of:
- Sakura Kasuga as Yuina Akagi
- Hinano Sakikawa as Azu Niizato
- Rena Motomura as Kyoka Kitahara
- Haruka Minami as Choco Mitsumata
- Honami Momose as Mai Kamiizumi
Maebashi is known as the “City of Water, Greenery and Poets,” which is again the slogan used for the inspiration of the second visual (just like it was for the first one).
The Maebashi Witches unit consisting of the five girls will perform the opening song “Sugosugi Maebashi Witches,” as well as the ending theme and several insert songs. The main anime staff consists of:

There was a Maebashi Witches unveiling event on September 29 at Keyaki Walk Maebashi in Japan, featuring the first series introduction, talk show, live performance, and meet-and-greet. Screenings and additional events were also held on September 28, October 26, and 27 at various locations in Gunma.
