The official Evangelion Store is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a special online store section and products. A new press release spotlighted the EVA STORE Original Watch, coming in NERV and EVA-01 versions. Both retail for 6,930 yen or around $45.
The watches reference both the NERV organization and the EVA-01 unit through their color schemes and text on the dial. You can check out images of the Evangelion watches and more information below.

The Evangelion watches are available from the EVA Store website (NERV, EVA-01 version); fans overseas can purchase the watches through the proxy shipping service Buyee by choosing an item and proceeding to the cart page. The watches are officially described:
“To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the EVANGELION STORE’s opening, we are releasing a limited edition original watch! The dial features ‘PROJECT-EVA EVANGELION-01 TEST TYPE’ written on the arm of Unit 01. The band features the design of Unit 01’s body / The dial features the NERV mark, and the design is based on black and red, reminiscent of NERV.
The movement is equipped with a ‘ring solar’ that can be charged by sunlight or fluorescent light; energy is accumulated just by wearing it on your arm and walking outside, so there is no need to connect it to a cable or change the battery at home. It is waterproof, so you can wear it anytime, anywhere, even when it rains heavily, while doing housework, or outdoor leisure activities.“
