Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise From the Shadow- made its return today, revealing a new Igrit shadow visual and a video of him in action. Known as the the Knight Commander Igrit the Bloodred, the official English subtitles for the anime had his name as Igris. The sound was also Igrit (or Igritte) in the Japanese dub (the English one had the ‘s’ too). Regardless, Sung Jinwoo now has a powerful soldier by his side, and you can see the visual below.
The anime was voted as the most anticipated show of Winter 2025, and it came with impressive new theme songs by LiSA and TK from Ling Tosite Sigure. The staff released count down illustrations daily leading up to today, with the director Shunsuke Nakashige’s being the final one. A video of Igrit fighting in the new episode was also released.
The anime is based on the Solo Leveling webtoon by Chugong and DUBU from REDICE Studio, which was adapted by h-goon. The story follows the world’s ‘weakest hunter’ Sung Jinwoo, as he acquires a way to level up in the world where it is otherwise impossible. He gets a game-like leveling interface, acquiring rewards for completing quests from the System and quickly rising up to the level of the strongest hunters.
