The preview images for Dr. Stone: Science Future (Season 4) episode 1 were revealed on Tuesday. The episode titled “RYUSUI VS. SENKU” is set to release on January 9. Studio TMS Entertainment is handling the animation production for the series while Crunchyroll is streaming it with English subtitles. Dr: Stone Science Future is the final season of the anime and will run for a total of three split cours.

Episode 1 synopsis:
After the fierce battle on Treasure Island, Senku and his friends returned to the Kingdom of Science. Tsukasa was revived by the petrification device they obtained and became a member of the Kingdom of Science! Senku and his team then set their sights on the moon, the source of the petrification device, “Whyman,” and launched the “Moon Landing Project.” In order to gather materials for their spaceship from all over the world, they set off into the ocean on the Perseus. However, on the journey to the U.S., Senku and Ryusui disagreed over the course of the voyage. In order to decide which of the two should be adopted, an unexpected poker match begins!

Dr. Stone: Science Future (Season 4) episode 1 releases on Thursday, January 9.

Kenji Nojima has joined the cast as Dr. Xeno Houston Wingfield while Koji Yusa will voice the role of Stanley Snyder. The rest of the main cast returned to reprise their roles.

New staff members for Dr. Stone: Science Future include Kurasumi Sunayama (series composition) and Chiyuki Kojima (director of photography). The following staff will be reprising their roles from last season:

Dr. Stone: New World (Season 3) was also animated by studio TMS Entertainment and covered the “Treasure Island” arc over the course of 22 episodes across split-cours in 2023. The new season, which was announced after the Season 3 finale, will pick up from where the previous left off (chapter 142 in the manga). Dr. Stone: Science Future will cover the remaining 90 chapters of the manga.

The anime is based original manga series written by Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi. The manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump for five years between March 2017 – March 2022 and released a total of 26 volumes with an extra volume released for the epilogue one-shot titled Future Science. All of the volumes have been published in English by VIZ Media.
