The Quintessential Quintuplets has announced a special visual book for Miku Nakano, featuring over 350 illustrations. The visual book is titled The Quintessential Quintuplets ANIME VISUAL BOOK Miku, and it is scheduled to release in Japan on February 27.
Miku is the third Nakano, and the visual book will compile a large collection of anime illustrations drawn for various merchandise and events. You can see a preview of some illustrations, including Miku stretching with a cat and Miku wearing a bunny hoodie.
Negi Haruba wrote and illustrated the The Quintessential Quintuplets manga series, which was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2017 to 2020. It ended with a total of 122 chapters, which were compiled into 14 volumes.

The first season of The Quintessential Quintuplets anime adaptation aired from January to March 2019 and was animated by Tezuka Productions. Bibury Animation Studios took over for the 2nd season, which premiered in 2021, and they also animated the final movie. SHAFT animated both of the specials, with the first premiering in 2023 and the second one in 2024. The second one covered the events set after the wedding and Futaro’s honeymoon. The main voice cast for the anime includes:
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Futaro Uesugi
- Kana Hanazawa as Ichika Nakano
- Ayana Taketatsu as Nino Nakano
- Miku Ito as Miku Nakano
- Ayane Sakura as Yotsuba Nakano
- Inori Minase as Itsuki Nakano
The story of the series follows Futaro Uesugi, a high school student who becomes the private tutor of a set of failing quintuplet sisters: Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki. His goal is to help them graduate, but each one ends up falling for him in the process and it turns into a romantic comedy where he has a hard time deciding who he loves most.
