Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 21: The Baseball Episode

Jujutsu Kaisen released episode 21 this Friday, and it gave us a little break from all the action with an epic baseball episode. Still the first part was a bit more serious, as we learned a bit about Getou’s plan to seal Gojou at Shibuya on October 31st. Nanami is also alive, though the blonde guy almost killed her. After them, we saw the main trio at Fushiguro’s resting room, and Yuuji’s brother also appeared.

Sadly Yuuji is back to denying the bond, and we moved on to the game. Starting off with useless Miwa, most of the characters got some screen time. The most priceless moment was Maki’s pitch to Toudou’s face as he was having a bro moment, after which everyone congratulated her on the nice pitch. Besides Yuuji, who tragically held the body and realized that everyone else hates him.

We also saw the 2 headmasters discussing Yuuji and the risks he presents. Stating that he’s only alive because of Gojou, the fan-favorite walked by casually stepping over ants without harming them due to his power. That was pretty cool too!

If you enjoyed episode 21, you can vote Jujutsu Kaisen as the best show on our weekly poll (it ranked 3rd last week)! And if you haven’t started it yet, the story goes:

Although Yuji Itadori looks like your average teenager, his immense physical strength is something to behold! Every sports club wants him to join, but Itadori would rather hang out with the school outcasts in the Occult Research Club. One day, the club manages to get their hands on a sealed cursed object. Little do they know the terror they’ll unleash when they break the seal…

The manga, written and illustrated by Akutami Gege, recently surpassed 36 million circulating copies (also including digital release)! It has been serialized since March 2018, which is a pretty short amount of time for such a big number. It will likely grow even more alongside the anime adaptation too.
