A Collaboration Between Two Global Brands
The ONE PIECE franchise, created by Eiichiro Oda, has become one of the most successful manga and anime series of all time. Since its serialization began in 1997, ONE PIECE has amassed over 510 million copies in print worldwide.
The ONE PIECE anime, produced by Toei Animation, debuted in 1999 and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2025. It went on hiatus last year and fans are now waiting for the April 6 return.
Additionally, the franchise has expanded into other media, with Bandai’s ONE PIECE Card Game achieving massive popularity and the mobile game ONE PIECE Bounty Rush reaching an impressive 150 million downloads as of August 2024.
Now, this first-ever NBA collaboration with ONE PIECE adds another chapter to the franchise’s global impact, bringing together basketball and anime fans for a truly unique experience.
Prior to this game, the LA Lakers will have another big event as Luka Dončić will have his first game against his former team Dallas Mavericks on February 25.
