AMC Network’s streaming platform HIDIVE has announced the addition of the Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty music drama anime to its Spring 2025 simulcast lineup. Studio BN Pictures is in charge of the animation, with Shinya Watada as director. The anime will stream exclusively on the platform starting on April 3.
John Ledford, President of HIDIVE, commented on the new acquisition: “We’re excited to add Rock is a Lady’s Modesty to our exclusive simulcast line-up for Spring 2025. This new series is sure to ‘rock’ audiences with both its music and coming-of-age storyline. Anime fans will not want to miss it!”

Besides the director Shinya Watada, the main staff has Shogo Yasukawa in charge of the writing and Risa Miyadani on character designs. The main voice cast includes:

- Ayaka Fukuhara as Tina Isemi
- Natsumi Fujiwara as Tamaki Shiroya
HIDIVE describes the story:
At an elite all-girls’ academy where refined young ladies gather, Lilisa Suzunomiya, now the daughter of a real estate tycoon after her mother remarried, is forced to abandon her guitar and rock music to fit in. However, her passion is reignited by sounds from the old school building, where she meets a skilled drummer who shares her love for rock. Together, they embrace their inner rockstars, elegantly clashing and shouting their way through the academy in this captivating tale of grace and rebellion.
Rock is a Lady’s Modesty anime is based on a manga series by Hiroshi Fukuda and it has been serialized in Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine since October 2022. It currently has 6 volumes available, with Volume 7 set to release in Japan on March 28, 2025.
