New Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc Trailer to Premiere in Japan on May 9 After Mugen Train Revival Screening

A new trailer for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc will premiere exclusively in theaters on May 9, immediately following the revival screening of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Arc. The trailer, which will feature new footage from the upcoming film, will be shown only to audiences attending the limited-time screening of Mugen Train Arc, which is set to run for five weeks in Japan.

The revival screening of Mugen Train Arc is also getting a global release, with tickets currently on sale ahead of its May 14 premiere in North America. Crunchyroll confirmed availability in the US, Canada, and select international territories. 

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc is the first movie in the upcoming Infinity Castle Arc movie trilogy. It revealed a new visual and the first look at the 2025 promotion reel, with the release date set for July 18, 2025. The film will roll out internationally shortly after Japan, with global release dates set between August 14 and September 25.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Countdown Project

Leading up to the film’s release, the franchise has launched the Infinity Castle Countdown Project, revealing a series of character visuals marking the days remaining until the premiere. The first one was Tanjiro at 97 days, and you can see each of them below:

Koyoharu Gotoge’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, concluding with 23 volumes.

The anime adaptation, produced by ufotable, premiered in 2019. Its first theatrical movie, Mugen Train, released in 2020, and overtook Spirited Away and Your Name the highest-grossing anime movie of all time. It was also re-edited into episodes for TV broadcast, which are now streaming on Crunchyroll and Netflix as the Mugen Train Arc.
