The popular actor and voice actor Mamoru Miyano has officially left the Himawari Theatre Group, the agency with which he had been affiliated for over three decades since his childhood. The announcement was made on June 8, 2025, his 42nd birthday, via the agency’s official X account.
UPDATE (June 9, 2025): Mamoru Miyano issued a statement and announced that he is joining Ken-On.
That same day, Miyano performed at Laugh & Peace Fan Club Event 2025 Nostalgic Days. The Himawari Theatre Group released an official statement, explaining that the voice actor is leaving following the expiration of his contract. You can read the full statement below:

Miyano began his career with Himawari Theatre Group as a child actor and built his incredible portfolio over the following decades. He is well known for his roles in anime series such as Death Note (Light Yagami), Bungo Stray Dogs (Osamu Dazai), Steins;gate (Rintaro Okabe), and Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ (Tokiya Ichinose). He has also received numerous industry accolades, including multiple Seiyu Awards.
Beyond voice acting, he also has a presence in television and music, being popular for his performances and live tours. As of now, no further details have been provided regarding his future affiliations or projects.
