Just one day after officially parting ways with the Himawari Theatre Group, Mamoru Miyano has announced that he is joining the talent agency Ken-On. This makes a big change for the popular voice actor, who spent over three decades with Himawari since beginning his career as a child actor.

Ken-On is one of Japan’s leading talent agencies, known for representing a wide range of prominent actors, musicians, and entertainers. The agency has a strong presence in television, film, and music, and has a reputation of managing high-profile careers. Some of their talents include Yuki Amami, Sota Fukushi, Haruna Kawaguchi, Superfly, and Uverworld.

The move right after his 42th birthday and a live appearance at the Laugh & Peace Fan Club Event 2025 Nostalgic Days. In an official statement on his personal blog and social media, Mamoru Miyano talked about his time with Himawari and made the announcement about joining the Ken-On agency. You can read the full statement below.

To all of you who have always warmly supported me,

I, Mamoru Miyano, have decided to leave Himawari Theatre Group, where I have been under the care of for many years, and will now be joining the Ken-On agency.

At Himawari, from the time I was a child who truly didn’t know my way around, I was given the opportunity to learn so many things. Even with my limited abilities, I was able to keep moving forward thanks to the support of everyone who has been involved with me along the way. I’m sincerely grateful for the many experiences I’ve had.

And most of all, to the fans who are always by my side, cheering me on and giving me strength—your presence has always been my emotional support, no matter the situation. Your smiles are my encouragement. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

From here on, I will be taking a new step forward. While treasuring the connections I’ve made, never forgetting my gratitude, and believing in my own potential, I intend to continue facing each part of my career—voice actor, actor, and artist—with sincerity.

Though I am still inexperienced in many ways, I would be truly grateful for your continued support.

With sincere regards,
