Aniplex has officially announced that Kyojuro Rengoku and Tengen Uzui, in their Kimetsu Academy teacher forms, will be joining the roster of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 as playable characters in Versus Mode.
Originally a comedic spin-off of the Demon Slayer universe, Kimetsu Academy imagines the series’ characters as students and faculty at a modern-day high school. Within this universe, Kyojuro is a passionate history teacher, while Tengen is an arts teacher. The two were previously shown using a Dual Ultimate together.
Their Kimetsu Academy versions can be seen in action below, where they get mad at Tanjiro and Inosuke and deliver punishment.

The game will follow shortly after the release of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, which will premiere in Japan a few weeks earlier on July 18, 2025. The international releases are scheduled shortly after, between August and September. The first full trailer was also teased and set to be revealed later this week.
The sequel game also confirmed an August 5 global launch for the PlayStation, Steam, Xbox, and Switch, while players who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition will get up to 5 days of Early Access.
