The first episode of The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity has premiered in Japan and the series has released the opening and ending theme song videos. Tatsuya Kitani sings the opening theme song “Manazashi wa Hikari” while UshioReira is performing the ending song “Hare no Hi ni.”
Netflix has listed a July 13 premiere for some Asian regions, while it’s listed for September 7 in the United States and numerous other countries.

Studio CloverWorks is animating the series. Rino Yamazaki handled the screenplay of the first episode, with the direction and storyboard of Miyuki Kuroki. Kohei Tokuoka was credited as the chief animation director. The main voice cast includes:

- Yoshinori Nakayama as Rintaro Tsumugi
- Kikunosuke Toya as Shohei Usami
- Koki Uchiyama as Saku Natsusawa
- Hiiro Ishibashi as Ayato Yorita

The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity (Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku) is a manga series written and illustrated by Saka Mikami. The story centers around Rintaro, a second-year student at Chidori High (a school for boys with the worst grades) who helps at his family’s patisserie. One day, he meets Kaoruko, a kind girl he quickly bonds with. But things get complicated when Rintaro learns that Kaoruko attends Kikyo Girls’ High, a prestigious school for wealthy families. As their friendship grows, they have to navigate the challenges and schemes from their classmates to stay together.
