“JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” is getting a special event this Sunday on April 4, titled “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: The Animation Special Event ~ JOESTAR The Inherited Soul ~”. It features a visual featuring all 5 of the main protagonists of the animations so far, and you can check that out:
The voice actors of each JoJo have also been confirmed to appear. That includes:
- Kazuyuki Okitsu as Jonathan Joestar
- Tomokazu Sugita as Joseph Joestar
- Daisuke Ono as Jotaro Kujo
- Yuki Ono as Josuke Higashikata
- Kensho Ono as Giorno Giovanna
This will be the first time all of them get together for something related to the project. As a countdown, there was a web radio program called JOESTAR RADIO is released every week since November 8, 2020. In addition, there’s the announcement video from December last year:
And another fun fact, April 4 marks Jonathan’s birthday, and is also the day Stardust Crusaders first aired in Japan. It has been over a year and a half since the Golden Wind anime finished back in July 2019. Fans have been waiting for an anime adaptation of Part 6 titled Stone Ocean ever since, and an event this big might just be the time for it. Still, it’s not guaranteed so we can only hope, but we’ll know for sure after this weekend.
The manga by Hirohiko Araki started in 1987 and is still ongoing. There is a total of 129 tankobon volumes at the moment, and it’s currently at Part 8: Jojolion. As for the part that could be getting an anime adaptation next, it focuses on Jotaro’s daughter Jolyne Kujo.

“JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” is one of the classics, and this special event might be the perfect time to announce a new anime. One of the biggest meme sources could definitely use some more material! There will be a global livestream for select countries featuring English subtitles. They include the USA, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.
