Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 revealed a new trailer, this time previewing the ending theme song “Beautiful Colors” by OneRepublic. The anime is set to premiere on July 19, with streaming available on X and Crunchyroll worldwide. Netflix will also stream in select regions of Asia.
Production I.G is again handling the animation, with Studio Khara in charge of the creature designs. The anime previously revealed its main trailer, which previewed the opening song “You Can’t Run From Yourself” by Aurora.

The main voice cast for the Kaiju No. 8 anime includes Masaya Fukunishi as Kafka Hibino/Kaiju No. 8. We had the opportunity to talk with Fukunishi at last year’s Anime Expo, where he shared his experience voicing Kafka. He is supported by Wataru Kato as Reno Ichikawa, Asami Seto as Mina Ashiro, Kengo Kawanishi as Soshiro Hoshina, and Tessho Genda as Isao Shinomiya. Koki Uchiyama voices Gen, who will have a major role in the second season.
Kaiju No. 8 manga by Naoya Matsumoto began serialization in July 2020 on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform, and a total of 15 volumes has been published as of March. The manga series is officially set to end with its next chapter. Viz Media is publishing it in English.
The game adaptation of the franchise, Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME, showed its first demo earlier this month at Anime Expo 2025. The game previously reached over 300,000 pre-registrations globally, and is set to launch later in 2025.
