These will be available through a made-to-order system, with pre-orders open from July 13 to September 15.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time – Novelization Announced

Released in 2006, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (Toki o Kakeru Shojo) is a sci-fi anime film directed by Mamoru Hosoda and produced by MADHOUSE. While it is not an original story, the film serves as a loose sequel to Yasutaka Tsutsui’s 1967 novel of the same name, featuring a new protagonist, Makoto Konno, who discovers she can literally leap through time.

The screenplay was written by Satoko Okudera, with character designs by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto and music composed by Kiyoshi Yoshida. Riisa Naka voiced the lead role of Makoto, with Takuya Ishida as Chiaki and Mitsutaka Itakura as Kosuke.

The film was also adapted into a manga by Ranmaru Kotone prior to the movie’s initial release.
