With both of their movies set to premiere in October 2025, the Girls Band Cry series and the Zombie Land Saga franchise have announced a collaboration. The project includes a special video where the main characters dub each other’s opening scenes: Nina Iseri from Girls Band Cry voices Sakura Minamoto, while Sakura takes on Nina’s role. A collaboration visual featuring the groups from both series was also released.
The first movie of Girls Band Cry, Seishun Kyoso Kyoko, will premiere on October 3, 2025, while the second movie, Naa, Mirai, will debut on November 14, 2025. Additionally, the series will also have a new film. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime, and they describe the plot as follows:
Feeling out of place in the countryside, high school dropout Nina Iseri moves to Tokyo. After a rough first day and getting locked out of her apartment, she meets her favorite guitarist, Momoka Kawaragi. The two put on a street performance together and decide to start a band with three other girls. While each girl faces her own struggles, their passion for music keeps their dreams alive.
Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise anime movie is slated to have a theatrical premiere on October 24 in Japan. Studio MAPPA is animating the movie, and Crunchyroll also streams the anime, describing the story:
A typical morning. The usual music. Their normal lives. The peace these seven girls experience will suddenly be destroyed. By the living dead… zombies. A reality that they never wanted a part of, an amazing and terrifying zombie world. They all share one wish: “We want to live.” These girls will struggle through this saga, in order to achieve a miracle.
