Crunchyroll revealed a new trailer for Daemons of the Shadow Realm, which was already confirmed for an April 2026 premiere. What’s also new is that the series will stream for two consecutive cours, running through the Spring and Summer 2025 anime seasons. The series adapts the manga of the same name by Fullmetal Alchemist creator Hiromu Arakawa. Square Enix publishes the series in Japan in its Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine and licenses the manga in North America. Crunchryoll adds that the series will be available in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and the Indian Subcontinent.
Masahiro Ando (Sword of the Stranger) directs the anime at studio Bones Film. The official Daemons of the Shadow Realm synopsis reads:
In a world where certain humans command mighty supernatural duos called Daemons, it is the birthright of “the children who sunder day and night”—twins Yuru and Asa—to rule over these powerful entities. Separated from a young age and unaware of the truth of their birth, brother and sister must fight to make their way back to each other, claim their birthright, and save the world…
