On October 12, 2025, ONE PIECE fans of all ages had the time of their lives as they came together for a fun celebration of fitness and fandom during the first ONE PIECE Run in the Philippines. Over 8,000 runners showed up at the venue, turning the area around SM City Fairview into the Grand Line as they made memories and history together, while honoring the beloved series.
Some runners even went all out in showing their enthusiasm by donning costumes inspired by their favorite characters. Some fans decked themselves out in full ONE PIECE cosplay, turning the event into a colorful and lively gathering. The runners received ONE PIECE-inspired medals after completing their chosen distances to celebrate their perseverance and spirit, while the top three finishers got special awards. The venue also featured photo opportunities with large displays, standees of the Straw Hat crew, a supersized inflatable of Gear 5 Luffy, and a Luffy mascot.
The ONE PIECE Run is a special collaboration made possible by SM City Fairview, Toei Animation, Runrio, and the Quezon City Local Government Unit (LGU). This is in line with SM’s vision to make its malls a vibrant lifestyle destination where people come together to explore, celebrate, and create unforgettable memories. Ma-ann Hipol, OIC marketing area head of SM Supermalls, gives his thanks:
“This is a milestone for all of us at SM Supermalls, which is why we want to give a massive thank you to Toei Animation and Runrio for choosing SM City Fairview as the official venue for this landmark event. We are honored to be part of such a historic moment for the anime and running community.”
Meanwhile, the RUNRIO founder and CEO, Rio dela Cruz, also gave his statement:
“We’re delighted to be part of this experience and we’re happy to see the reception that we got from the participants who really enjoyed this run.”
