At CosMeet 2025, Coser Ing graced Okada Manila with her passion and creativity. She is a professional cosplayer from South Korea and is renowned all over the world for her incredible skill and ability to perfectly portray both male and female characters. She’s a master in the arts of cosplay and make-up, and perfectly brings favorite characters to life.
Coser Ing shared many things about her experiences as a cosplayer during the stage interview. One of the most memorable parts was when she imparted advice to young and aspiring cosplayers, saying that “Life is short,” just do it, and don’t be scared.
In an exclusive interview with Anime Corner afterwards, Ing shared more about herself and her creative cosplay process.
Q: What inspired you to become a cosplayer?
Coser Ing: I joined a fan café of my favorite anime, and I saw people posting in the cosplay section. I thought, “I want to meet them in real life and try that too!” That’s how I started.
Q: Among the many steps in cosplay—from wig styling to costume making and photo editing—what part do you enjoy the most?
Coser Ing: I enjoy the photo editing stage the most. Preparing wigs and costumes can be exhausting, but seeing everything come together during editing is so rewarding. Of course, editing can be tiring too, but when that happens, I take breaks, eat something I like, and remind myself of the people waiting to see my cosplay. That thought keeps me going and makes it all worthwhile.
Q: What’s your favorite cosplay, and why?
Coser Ing: My favorite cosplay is Kuya from NU: Carnival. He’s a character I truly love, and it made me really happy when people said the cosplay suited me well.
Q: If given the chance, what would be your ultimate dream cosplay?
Coser Ing: I really love Overwatch 2, so my dream is to do a full Overwatch 2 team cosplay. It might be challenging, but it’s something I’d love to make happen someday.
