ABEMA has unveiled Project PRISMation, a new anime project developed in partnership with creators from around the world. The project brings together independent artists and teams to produce original short-form anime, with additional global submissions planned to open around May 2026.
The project name combines “prism” and “animation,” and “symbolizes a space where diverse talents converge to shine brightly, much like a prism disperses white light into a spectrum of colors.”
Three titles have been announced for the initial launch, each created by a different team:

Creator comment:
This is a short cartoon that humorously depicts the daily life of a strange thre e-person family, incorporating common tropes from both Japanese and Western horror as well as homages to famous horror movies. The highlights are its fast-paced storytelling and uniquely atmospheric art style!
These pilots will be released weekly on ABEMA and the official PRISMation social media channels. The three participating teams were selected as initial collaborators from across Asia.
According to the announcement, Project PRISMation aims to develop new anime titles through collaboration with creators both in Japan and internationally. Public submissions will begin around May 2026, with further information to be shared at a later date.
