The Official Twitter has confirmed that the previously announced “The Quintessential Quintuplets” sequel will be a movie, rather than another TV anime season. They have also revealed that it will premiere some time in 2022, though further details will be revealed at a later date.

The show has 2 seasons, both consisting of 12 episodes, and season 2 finished airing on March 26, 2021. The anime series was well liked among our fans and earned itself a top 5 spot in our “Top 10 Anime of Winter 2021 Season“. The upcoming movie will likely conclude the rest of Negi Haruba’s manga, which ran from August 2017 to February 2020 and has a total of 14 compilation volumes.
