Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. anime announced that Yumiri Hanamori has stepped down from her role as Hitomi Koshigaya. According to the statement, the decision followed repeated discussions between the production side and Hanamori’s agency, tomorrow jam. The agency requested her withdrawal from the project, and after careful consideration, both parties reached a mutual agreement.
The new voice actor for Hitomi Koshigaya has yet to be announced.
Studios Moe and J.C. Staff were in charge of the animation for the first season, which aired for 12 episodes from October to December 2024. A teaser trailer for season 2, which is slated to release this July was released at Jump Festa 2026. Toshinori Fukushima will be the new director, replacing Masahiro Hiraoka at J.C. Staff.
The anime is based on the manga series written by Sekka Iwata and illustrated by Yu Aoki. It was initially serialized on the Shonen Jump+ website and mobile app in October 2021. VIZ Media licensed the title and describes it as:
