The upcoming The Vermilion Mask anime has been confirmed as a two-part series set to air in October 2026, alongside the release of a new key visual and teaser trailer. The anime was first announced in July 2025.
The anime is directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe, known for directing Blue Lock Season 1, alongside projects such as Mermaid Rhapsody and Prophecy of Nayuta. The production brings together a younger creative team, including:

- Assistant Director: Gai Hazako
- Series Composition: Daisuke Ohigashi
- Story Supervision: Dr. Poro, Nabana Naba
- Character Design & Chief Animation Director: Hisashi Higashijima
- Sound Director: Goh Fumiyuki

The series adapts the manga written by Dr. Poro and illustrated by Nabana Naba, currently serialized in Young King OURs magazine from Shonengahosha. It has published 7 volumes so far, with Volume 8 scheduled to release in Japan on July 7. Ahead of the anime’s release, volumes 1–3 of the original manga are currently available to read for free on COMIC Y-OURS.
