The upcoming dark fantasy anime The Vermilion Mask has revealed its first main trailer along with the main Japanese voice cast. The anime was previously confirmed as a two-part series, set to premiere in October 2026. Crunchyroll will be streaming the anime, and today’s announcement came during the streamer’s showcase at Anime Expo 2026.
The anime is directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe with One Double-O studio handling animation production. Daisuke Ohigashi oversees the series composition, Hisashi Higashijima serves as character designer and chief animation director, and Alisa Okehazama is composing the music. Original creators Dr. Poro and Nabana Naba are also supervising the story.

Leading the cast is Taihi Kimura as Peru d’Arrest, following his recent announcement as the voice of Chihiro Rokuhira in the upcoming KAGURABACHI anime. Joining him are:
- Yuuki Yamamoto as Sonarue Maywood
- Kazuki Ura as Mok Sharib
- Takanori Hoshino as Gouon
- Wataru Komada as Totoque
- Junya Enoki as Zent
- Kazuhiko Inoue as Gaston
- Akio Otsuka as the Mask of the Warrior God
The series adapts the manga written by Dr. Poro and illustrated by Nabana Naba, currently serialized in Young King OURs magazine from Shonengahosha. It has published 7 volumes so far, with Volume 8 scheduled to release in Japan on July 7.
