Tenko-saki no Seiso Karen na Bishojo ga, Mukashi Danshi to Omotte Issho ni Asonda Osananajimi Datta Ken, or Tenbin for short, revealed a main trailer at AnimeJapan 2026. The series is slated to premiere in July 2026 with studio project No.9 animating.
Chuan Feng Xu is directing the anime, and Deko Akao is in charge of the script. Nukuru Kurahashi is designing the character based on the original illustrations by Siso. Ryosuke Nakanishi, Naoki Tani, and Yuri Morita (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!) are composing the music. The cast includes:
- Ikumi Hasegawa as Haruki Nikado
- Shunichi Toki as Hayato Kirishima
- Miharu Hanai as Himeko Kirishima
- Natsumi Haruse as Minamo Mitake
- Fuka Izumi as Saki Murao
The story first appeared as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro in June 2020. Kadokawa released a revised edition with illustrations under its Sneaker Bunko label in February 2021. There is also a manga adaptation is illustrated by Kina Oyama.
The story follows Hayato Kirishima, who moves from the countryside to a city high school. There he unexpectedly reunites with Haruki, a childhood friend he hadn’t seen in seven years. Back when they were kids, Hayato assumed Haruki was a boy, but now Haruki has grown into a beautiful girl. Their reunion sets the stage for a romantic comedy of misunderstandings, nostalgia, and new feelings.
