Bang Zoom! Studios is returning to Anime Expo this year in Los Angeles, California. If you haven’t heard of Bang Zoom!, the production team is behind English dubs for many popular recently released anime, including Demon Slayer, DAN DA DAN, and Sakamoto Days (among many more). At Anime Expo, a live casting team from the company will judge voice acting hopefuls looking to break into the industry. Bang Zoom! will also welcome an array of special guests on stage to celebrate the voice acting community and honor the legacy of early fan-driven events like AX Idol, which originally helped catapult voice actors into the industry spotlight. Bang Zoom! has hosted this event for twenty years and discovered major voice acting names, such as Zeno Robinson, Zach Aguilar, and Abby Trott.
The Open Auditions event will feature live, on-stage judging by Co-President and Casting Director Mami Okada alongside CEO Eric P. Sherman. Attendees can also look forward to exclusive previews of current dub titles and upcoming projects, special guest appearances, and live dubbing demonstrations. The event is titled “Voice Acting Open Auditions with Bang Zoom! Studios” and takes place Saturday, July 4, 2026 10:00 AM–1:00 PM PT at The Novo.
