Hulu is bringing back its anime-themed convention activation for Anime Expo 2026, this time transforming part of the show floor into Hulu Animayhem Yokocho, an immersive alleyway inspired by Japan’s yokocho districts.
Running from July 2 to July 5 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the activation will feature interactive experiences, photo opportunities, themed giveaways, and anime-inspired environments based on several titles streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.
The new concept follows last year’s Hulu Animayhem City, which recreated a stylized anime metropolis featuring series such as Naruto Shippuden, DAN DA DAN, BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, and One-Punch Man. For 2026, Hulu is shifting its focus to a more compact alleyway setting, complete with lanterns, cherry blossoms, character displays, and themed attractions based on some of its newest anime offerings.

The anime-themed experiences will include:
BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War
Fans can step into a photo experience alongside life-size standees of Ichigo Kurosaki, Orihime Inoue, Uryu Ishida, Yasutora “Chad” Sado, and Ganju Shiba. Visitors will take the sixth spot in the lineup and receive a digital keepsake photo in a branded frame.
Naruto
Guests can visit a recreation of Naruto’s favorite ramen shop, sit beside a cutout of the future Hokage, and pose for photos with bowls of faux ramen.
Rooster Fighter
One of the activation’s more unusual attractions, the Rooster Fighter Dance Challenge will allow visitors to record dance videos alongside animated versions of Keiji, Piyoko, and Elizabeth. Hulu also teases possible appearances by a rooster mascot throughout the event.
Tokyo Revengers
A large-scale graffiti wall inspired by the Tokyo Manji Gang will feature artwork from the series, including the iconic dragon tattoo.
Mission: Yozakura Family
Attendees will be able to participate in a timed cooperative challenge where they will have 60 seconds to pack the Yozakura family’s equipment into a suitcase before time runs out.
Though I Am an Inept Villainess
Visitors will answer a question before choosing a side and posing for a themed portrait alongside Ko Reirin and Shu Keigetsu within a recreation of the Maiden Court.
Undead Unluck: Winter Arc
Fans can come face-to-face with Apocalypse, the sentient book from the series, in a photo opportunity inspired by the upcoming Winter Arc.
Hulu Animayhem Yokocho will be open at Anime Expo 2026 from July 2 through July 5 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
