The ongoing TV ANIMATION BLEACH THE STORIES retrospective project has officially entered the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, with a fifth and final special visual released ahead of the anime’s return later this year.

The visual is the latest installment in a commemorative series that reimagines Tite Kubo’s artwork of Ichigo Kurosaki throughout the franchise’s history. Each illustration has recreated different parts of Ichigo’s journey in anime form, with the new visual focusing on the Thousand-Year Blood War. A combined version featuring all five visuals connected together has also been released.

The retrospective campaign was launched as the build-up for BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity, the fourth and final cour of the new anime adaptation by PIERROT FILMS. The visuals included:
- Substitute Soul Reaper Arc
- Soul Society Arc
- The Arrancar Arc
- The Lost Agent Arc
- Thousand-Year Blood War Arc
To celebrate the milestone, the official BLEACH anime YouTube channel will begin a limited-time free streaming campaign covering all 40 episodes of the Thousand-Year Blood War anime released so far.
The schedule will be:
- Episodes 1–13 beginning June 20, 2026
- Episodes 14–26 beginning June 27, 2026
- Episodes 27–40 beginning July 4, 2026
Ahead of the marathon, Episode 1, “THE BLOOD WARFARE,” has already been made available for free on the official YouTube channel in Japan. The channel will also gradually release voice cast interview videos throughout the campaign.
Additionally, the franchise’s interactive BLEACH MEMORIES website has been updated with new Thousand-Year Blood War assets, allowing fans to create and share personalized images for their favorite moments from the series.
Created by Tite Kubo, BLEACH was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016 and concluded with 74 volumes. The manga has exceeded 130 million copies in circulation worldwide, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
The original anime adaptation aired from 2004 to 2012 and received four theatrical films. The franchise returned in 2022 with BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, adapting the manga’s final arc. Its final part (Part 4) is set to release in July. Tite Kubo has confirmed it will include even more original material than the previous parts, expanding the manga’s final battles. It will premiere early in US theaters with the first three episodes.
