Sasaki and Peeps Season 2 has revealed a new key visual and trailer for the anime, along with confirming an October 2026 release date. Season 2 will feature some notable staff changes. Yushi Ibe has been appointed director, with Yamato Ochi serving as assistant director. Series composition returns to Deko Akao, while Saori Nakashiki takes over as character designer. Animation production will once again be handled by SILVER LINK.
Mutsumi Tamura was previously added to the voice cast as Abaddon, who is also featured in the new visual and trailer.
Studio SILVER LINK also animated the first season, which ran for a total of 12 episodes from January to March this year. Season 2 was announced at Anime Japan 2024 quickly afterwards, and the announcement trailer featured the opening song “FLY” by MADKID.

The Sasaki and Peeps light novel is written by Buncololi, with illustrations by Kantoku. It was first published as a web novel on the Kakuyomu and Shosetsuka ni Naro websites in December 2018, after which it was serialized under Media Factory’s MF Bunko J imprint in January 2021. There is also manga adaptation by Pureji Osho in Kadokawa Shoten’s Shonen Ace Plus, which also began in January 2021.
Yen Press has licensed both the Sasaki and Peeps light novel and manga in English, while Crunchyroll streams the anime. The latter describes the story:
Sasaki is a middle-aged office worker living in Japan. Feeling drained by the vapid corporate world, he heads to the pet shop in search of a new companion. There he finds an adorable bird named Peeps and takes him home. But Sasaki quickly learns that Peeps isn’t your average bird…he’s a powerful mage from another world! Together, they embark on a magical adventure filled with swords and sorcery.
