Killing Slimes for 300 Years Episode 5: A Spooky Guest

The full name might be I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level, however, that seems like a bit much, so I’m going to shorten it up a bit. Killing Slimes for 300 Years episode 5 just aired, and the show remains as wholesome as ever.

This week had some interesting developments, as The Azusa family just seems to get bigger and bigger. I haven’t gotten a chance to address this show very much yet, so there are a few things to credit. The animation and voice acting have been great so far, and the OP is an absolute gem, easy addition to the playlist.

So as it turns out, Halkara the elf is expanding her energy drink empire. She found a lovely building in a town not too far away to become her new factory but she’s having some trouble. She keeps coming home late, and Azusa is starting to worry.

Halkara reveals that it’s because she can’t hire any workers in town she has to do everything herself. There is a rumor of a ghost in the factory, and no one wants to work in a haunted building. She desperately pleads to her Master for help getting rid of the ghost.

Azusa, not being a fan of ghosts either, drags Beelzebub the demon into it too. The crew sets off in the evening to confront any ‘ghost’ bothering the factory. Because, If you’re going to take on spirits, you might as well drag as many friends down with you I say.

That night, they actually do find a ghost but turns out she is super sweet. See, her name is Rosalie and she had actually died in the house centuries prior. Bound to the area she died, she only haunts people in the house because she can’t leave. Luckily Beelzebub actually has some knowledge of ghosts and the way for Rosalie to leave.

If she can possess someone for an extended time she can take over whatever place the possessed person goes. Halkara becomes the weakest link and is the easy candidate for possession. However, this show is in fact a comedy so we’re due for the plan to go completely awry.

Things are never easy in this show, and it was a joy to watch. Expect plenty of chaos and laughs as the Immortal witch and friends figure out how to fix a mess they made. I cannot recommend this show enough as one of the better comedies of spring 2021.
