On May 27, 2021, Aniplex of America announced that it will be hosting “Aniplex Online Fest 2021” again this summer. Dive into the world of anime as the online event hosted by Aniplex returns!
The online event will be featuring programming from popular Aniplex shows, voice actor appearances, musical performances, and many more. It will also be streaming worldwide for free on YouTube. In addition, an illustration by Saki Takahashi will be used as the event’s main visual.

Aniplex Online Fest Program Line-up
“Aniplex Online Fest 2021” revealed the first round of the programming line-up. The programming will include “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”, “Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night”, “Fate/Grand Order Anime Project”, and “Puella Magi Madoka Magica 10th Anniversary Project x Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story.”
The program will also welcome the voice actors as special guests . “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” will have Natsuki Hanae ( Tanjiro Kamado) and Hiro Shimono ( Zenitsu Agatsuma.) For “Sword Art Online the Movie”, the guests are Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Kirito) and Haruka Tomatsu (Asuna). Furthermore, the guests for “Fate/Grand Order ANIME PROJECT” are Kenji Akabane (Kadoc Zemlupus) and Minami Tanaka (Nitocris).
Lastly, the “Puella Magi Madoka Magica 10th Anniversary Project x Magia Record” program will also feature Aoi Yuki (Madoka Kaname), Eri Kitamura (Sayaka Miki), Momo Asakura (Iroha Tamaki), Sora Amamiya (Yachiyo Nanami), and more.
Special Program Highlighting Upcoming Shows
“Aniplex Online Fest 2021” will also have special programs to highlight their upcoming shows. Some of the anticipated titles are “The Honor at Magic High School,” and “86 EIGHTY-SIX”. In addition, there is “VISUAL PRISON”, “Ranking of Kings”, “BUILD_DIVIDE -#000000- CODE BLACK” and “The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace.” Some of the cast will make appearances to talk about the latest information on their respective shows.
There will also be a special highlight for “The Case Study of Vanitas.” The program will showcase a trip into the prestigious Studio BONES for a “behind-the-scenes” look at the creative process. Plus, there will be interviews with the staff about the making of the anime series.
Aniplex also announced new information about the program details for “SK8 the Infinity.” Before the program, they will have a live broadcast from the Toda City Culture Hall in Japan. However, the tickets for the “SK8 the Infinity” Special Stage Event are available in Japan only.
The timetable is available to preview on the official website. Together with its streaming schedule, there is now more information about program titles and descriptions. There is also new details for the additional special guests on the program line-up. Furthermore, the streaming link for the YouTube video is now available and can be “set for reminder.”
Guest Artists & Musical Acts
Aniplex introduced the line-up for the musical artists joining the online event. The musical acts will include some of the biggest names in the anime music industry such as Aimer, ClariS, LiSA, ReoNa, and SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]. According to the official schedule, the live performances will be the opening and closing acts for the event.
Hosts & DJ Performance
“Aniplex Online Fest 2021” also released information about their hosts. The online event will hosted by Sally Amaki (from the idol group 22/7) and Maxwell Powers. Moreover, DJ Kazu will join to deliver an electrifying performance.
About “Aniplex Online Fest 2021”
The online event will be on Saturday, July 3, 2021 and will begin at 6:00 PM (PDT) to midnight. (The streaming time may be subject to change.) It is free to watch on the official Aniplex YouTube page. It will also be available in Japanese and English languages. This event is organized by Aniplex Inc. and co-sponsored by Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc.
A lot of anime convention events have been cancelled because of the ongoing pandemic happening worldwide. Hence, Aniplex created and held the first “Aniplex Online Fest” last July 2020. It successfully garnered 800,000 viewers from all over the world.
“Aniplex Online Fest” is a festival that will feature a diverse array of online content including talk shows with the staff and cast from popular anime, special appearances and past live shows from music artists, and behind-the-scenes stories from the anime industry!
Incidentally, the “Aniplex Online Fest 2021” will take place during the “Anime Expo Lite 2021” which will also be held on July 3 – 4 at 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM (PDT). Read more interesting anime news on our site.
