Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S opening theme “Ai No Supreme”, performed by fhána, has surpassed 1 million views. KyoAni’s official YouTube channel uploaded the video on July 7th, 2021.
Japanese band fhána, who also sung the season 1 opening for Dragon Maid, sings “Ai No Supreme”, but the lyrics were written by Hideki Hayashi. Hayashi worked on multiple anisongs, including “Hirameki Heartbeat” (How Clumsy you are, Miss Ueno opening). Junichi Satou composed the music and did the song arrangement.
Fans of Nichijou OP will feel familiar vibes, seeing as its director, Tatsuya Ishihara also directed Dragon Maid S opening, while doing the storyboard for it. In addition, Miku Kadowaki and Nobuaki Maruki served as animation directors.
The opening sequence features characters singing and dancing while wearing various outfits. It also introduces the new character Ilulu. You can watch the full video below:

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S, the second season of the highly popular anime, premiered on July 7th. The series is KyoAni’s first TV anime since the arson attack in 2019. Tatsuya Ishihara and late Yasuhiro Takemoto are both listed as directors for season 2. Takemoto directed the first season but sadly passed away in the arson attack. Miku Kadowaki is doing character designs, while Nobuaki Maruki is a chief animation director.
