Ganbare Douki-chan anime project is ongoing.
Yom, illustrator known for his work Yom Tights, revealed on August 14 that his Twitter manga, Ganbare Douki-chan (lit. You can do it, Douki-chan), received a web anime adaptation.
Ganbare Douki-chan is a romantic comedy series written and illustrated by Yom. The story revolves around the woman, Douki-chan (Douki is a Japanese term for someone who has started working at the same time). In addition, he regularly updates the series, posting an illustration with a caption, or a short manga on Twitter.

Yom “Ganbare Douki-chan gets an anime adaptation!”

Yom “We will post any progress on the anime’s official account, so follow this account if you don’t mind. @anime_douki “
Yom “It’s all thanks to you all who have been reading and supporting Douki-chan that the series will be made into anime. I’m really, really filled with gratitude for you. Thank you very much.”
Yom “Something good happened, right, Douki-chan!!”
Let’s see what happened yesterday to understand what he meant by the tweet above.
Yesterday
Firstly, the author posted a photo of physical copies of Ganbare Douki-chan‘s 5th doujin volume yesterday, August 13.
Yom “Volume 5 is done! It’ll be released tomorrow”
And the tweet was followed by this one, now we know it indicates the anime adaptation.
Yom “I hope something good happens to you tomorrow, too, Douki-chan.”
Ganbare Douki-chan?
Ganbare Douki-chan series was born with this illustration where she gives a warning to a man “If you do something on me, I’ll kill you…. socially.” with her keens held. But it just came out with a caption describing the situation where a woman who has started working at the same time, Douki, and a man ended up sharing a room by the hotel’s mistake on their business trip. As the story unfolds, readers including the author started cheering for Douki-chan’s romantic feelings, and in the end, the series got the title Ganbare Douki-chan.
New Doujin Volume
Yom has been turning the series into compiled thin books, called doujin, of which volume 5 is out today, August 14, on Melonbooks and Toranoana.
Miru Tights / Getsuyoubi no Tawawa
On another note, this isn’t the first time his work was animated; Miru Tights in 2019 with 13 episodes. It’s also worth noting that Himuro Kiseki‘s Twitter doujin series, Getsuyoubi no Tawawa also streamed a 12-episode short anime (14 episodes including OVA) in 2016. On top of that, the authors collaborated and published a cross-over doujin, Douki to Tawawa, last year, 2020.
And so he also reacted to the anime adaptation of Ganbare Douki-chan.
Himuro Kiseki “Everyone, I sincerely hope you pay attention to the web anime, Ganbare Douki-chan, thank you~!”
Although Douki-chan is the protagonist, her junior staff Kouhai-chan takes the screen time. No wonder Douki-chan puts a stunned face far behind.
Himuro Kiseki “Congratulations”

On August 16, 2021, Yamamoto Souichirou, the author of Teasing Master Takagi-san , posted an illustration with a comment
“I’m looking forward to the anime”
