Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun 10th Anniversary

Tsubaki Izumi’s Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun marked the 10th anniversary of its serialization on August 25, 2021. The manga artist posted a congratulatory illustration with thanks to fans on Twitter:

It seems Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun has started the serialization 10 years ago today.

So, today marks 10 years just perfectly!

Thank you for following the series for 10 years!
I appreciate your continued support for the future!

The illustration says: Congratulations on Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun’s 10th anniversary!! It also features with some of the leading characters, Nozaki Umetarou, Mikoshiba Mikoto, and Sakura Chiyo cheering up for the milestone.

The web magazine where the manga has been serialized, Ganganonline, also posted a short video for the anniversary and updated the commemoration website with fans’ messages.

Also, on August 11, 2021, the series released its 13th volume along with a special edition bundling an 82-page length Volume 0, which features Nozaki’s sister, Yumeko, and more. What’s more, the special version received a reprint, the author revealed on August 17, 2021.

Yen Press has been publishing the English version and describes the plot of Volume 1 as:

The boy of her dreams…is a girl’s manga artist?!

But for someone who makes a living drawing sweet girly romances, Nozaki-kun is a little slow on the uptake when it comes to matters of the heart in reality. And so Chiyo’s daily life of manga making and heartache begins!

The series inspired an anime adaptation, which had been airing from July to September 2014 with a total of 12 episodes. Sentai Filmworks announced that it licensed the series for home video release in 2014, and Netflix streams the anime in some languages including English dub.
