The upcoming anime She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man has received a new teaser trailer. The video was uploaded on KADOKAWA’s YouTube channel, but also on Funimation’s channel in English on August 25, 2021.

The video features the appearances of Danblf and Mira, together with the announcement that Funimation will stream the anime in January 2022.
Keitaro Motonaga (Date a Live) will be directing the anime series. Studio A-CAT (Battle Game in 5 Seconds After Meeting) will be the one in charge of its show’s animation.
The story is based on a web novel by Hirotsugu Ryusen, which launched in April 2012. Micro Magazine started a light novel serialization in June 2014. It is still ongoing and currently has 15 volumes. The same publisher also serialized a manga adaptation of it in July 2016, which as of now has 8 volumes. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the series in English.
Sakamori Kagami was one of the top players in the VRMMO Ark Earth Online as Danblf, a veteran summoner with the gravitas to match his elite status. When he falls asleep playing one day, he’s transported to a world where the game is reality—but instead of his all-powerful avatar, he’s stuck in the body of a cute young girl! He can’t let anyone know that this little cutie is really Danblf, so he takes the name “Mira” and claims to be Danblf’s disciple. If this gets out, he’ll never live it down!
