In the continuing rise of VTubers across major streaming platforms, Ironmouse and Veibae, both talents of the Vtuber agency VShojo, have ranked among the top 10 most-watched female streamers on Twitch for the month of October this year.
Said data is according to the latest ‘State of the Stream for October 2021’ insights released by streamer platform StreamerElements, together with data collated from their analytics partner Rainmaker.gg. Ironmouse ranked sixth on the list, while Veibae ranked tenth on the list.
For Streamlabs and Rainmaker, they note that the rise of VTubers in the Twitch streaming scene are influenced by anime. They note that the recent anime endeavors, such as Demon Slayer Mugen Train being the highest-grossing Japanese film worldwide and the new Cowboy Bebop live-action adaptation are also on par with the rise of VTuber pop culture.
Data from Twitch statistics and analytics aggregator SullyGnome shows that Ironmouse had at least 925,929 watch hours for October, gaining 999,952 views in retrospect. She has also added 39,966 new followers. On the other hand, Veibae clocked in 867,397 watched hours for this month, gaining 969,614 in the process. She has also added 50,398 new followers. All of these data are as of this writing.
From an overall perspective, Twitch has continued to grow last month in viewership. According to the report, Twitch dropped down from averaging over 2 billion hours watched a month but had major momentum in October to move back toward that point with over 1.9b hours watched.
VShojo continues to ramp up its presence on a global scale. Recently, VShojo talents Ironmouse Silvervale and Nyatasha Nyanners have been announced to VILLS vol 3, one of the largest VTuber events in Japan. In addition, VShojo has partnered with Nippon TV’s V-Clan Network in a bid to expand V-Clan to a global audience.
