It was originally a ‘concept novel’ for the Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song- anime, which was produced by WIT Studio. The story:

Vivy, the world’s first autonomous AI, sings to bring joy to her audience as a cast member of Japan’s largest theme park. In this world, AIs are integral to human life and exist to carry out their missions. One day, an AI claiming to be from the future approaches her, revealing that in one hundred years, advanced AIs will turn on the humans they once served, sparking a violent war to annihilate humankind! When he asks for help in preventing the conflict, Vivy agrees to ditch the stage and take up the century-long mission against her kind to save humanity. (Seven Seas)

Our fans voted the anime as the best of Spring 2021, and you can watch it on Funimation. If you watched it and thought it was great, you can also vote for it as the 2021 anime of the year.

It’s great to hear the Vivy prototype light novel is getting an English release this year, and maybe we get the manga version in the future as well!
