The results of the 2021 Anime of the Year rankings have arrived! In case you missed it, Anime Corner conducted a poll to decide which anime our fans enjoyed most in 2021, and the rankings are based on the data we collected. We would like to point out that we nominated 32 shows based on the data gathered by Anime Corner through internal and external sources last year and fans voted among those.
The results shown in the rankings are based on the results of the selected sample. They naturally shouldn’t affect your decision to watch any show below the Top 10 as each anime has its own distinct style and everyone’s taste in anime is different. We had a lot of great shows in 2021, and your favorite might just have been underrated in this poll.
*Note: Ranking of Kings was excluded from the 2021 ranking. Its 2nd half will air in 2022, and it will then be nominated as Anime of the Year for this year instead.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation took the top after 2 incredible cours. The first one aired in Winter 2021 and it was ranked as the Best New Anime of the season, only behind Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 1. Then the 2nd cour was voted Anime of the Season in Fall 2021. Right behind it is Fruits Basket: The Final, which was a beautiful conclusion to the story and is truly well deserved. Re:Zero followed with its 2nd part of season 2, and Attack on Titan came in 4th. Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song was the Best Original Anime of 2021, coming in 5th overall.
2021 was managed to give us some amazing shows, and 2022 is looking stacked as well! Let’s hope this year does the same and more, and Anime Corner has already started weekly polls for the Winter 2022 season.
