The latest Kirby and the Forgotten Land trailer introduces our beloved puffball’s newest power-up called Mouthful Mode. The trailer provides a sneak-peek into Kirby’s new set of exciting abilities and gameplay. It was released during the Nintendo Direct event last February 9, 2022, and fans have gone crazy not only for the power-up but for Kirby’s cuteness as well.
According to the trailer, Mouthful Mode allows Kirby to “inhale real-world objects & use moves different from copy abilities.” The pink puffball can use new abilities depending on the object he transforms into. Car Mouth will allow Kirby to zoom through the game’s environment, while Vending Mouth will throw juice cans at enemies all while maintaining Kirby’s cheerful and cute style.
Things revealed by the Mouthful Mode trailer include the piercing Cone Mouth, Scissor-Lift Mouth, Ring Mouth, Light-Bulb Mouth, Arch Mouth, and lastly, the weaponizing Water Baloon Mouth. The trailer also reveals the Waddle Dee’s Weapons Shop where players can evolve and improve Kirby’s copy abilities such as range, appearance, and power.

Nintendo confirmed the game’s release date for March 25 in the game’s full trailer. The story of Kirby and the Forgotten Land follows the all-new adventures of the pink and powerful puffball, Kirby, as he explores a mysteriously abandoned shopping mall. He must restore peace and save his Waddle Dee friends from the ferocious Beast Pack and Elfilin.
Fans can currently pre-order Kirby and the Forgotten Land for USD $59.99 on the official Nintendo website and on the Nintendo e-shop. Aside from the game, there’s also Kirby’s upcoming 30th Anniversary to look forward to!
