The Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie manga series has surpassed 3 million copies in circulation, just days after the trailer for the anime adaptation surpassed 1 million views on YouTube. The news about the 3 million copies was announced with the release of the 12th volume of the manga:
Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie manga series is also receiving an anime adaptation, which will premiere on April 9, 2022. Studio Doga Kobo (Plastic Memories) is animating the show, while Ryota Itoh (My Senpai is Annoying) is directing it. Ai Kikuchi (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle) is taking care of the character designs, and Yoshimi Narita (DAKAICHI) is working on the series composition.
Kodansha has been publishing Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie manga series since February 2019 on Magazine Pocket. The manga is still ongoing and it currently has 12 volumes. Kodansha USA licensed the Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie manga in English and you can read their synopsis of the series below:
