A teaser commercial for the upcoming season 4 of DanMachi, titled It is Wrong to Pick Up Girls in the Dungeon? IV has been revealed. The anime will premiere in the Summer 2022 anime season. Studio J.C. Staff (Food Wars) is animating the series, while Hideki Tachibana (Circlet Princess) is directing. You can watch the video below:
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Inori Minase are reprising their roles as the main characters of the anime, Bell Cranel, and Hestia. Saori Onishi (Ais Wallenstein), Saori Hayami (Ryu Lion), Maaya Uchida (Liliruca Arde), Haruka Chisuge (Haruhime Sanjouno), Chinatsu Akasaki (Mikoto Yamato), Yoshimasa Hosoya (Welf Crozz), Wakana Kowaka (Daphne Lauros), Ayumi Watanabe (Cassandra Illion), Akeno Watanabe (Aisha Belka), and Yuka Iguchi (Hitachi Chigusa) are also returning. The anime is based on Fujino Onori’s Danjon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Daro ka (Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in the Dungeon?) light novel series. SB Creative has been serializing it since January 2013, and it currently has 17 volumes available. A manga adaptation by Kunieda is also being published by Square Enix in Young Gangan magazine, and it currently has 13 volumes in circulation. Yen Press licensed the original DanMachi light novel series in English. Season 4 of the anime will start on volume 12, and you can read the synopsis below:
